Our success depends on continued support from foundations, businesses and individuals – people like you who are interested in changing the way we think about media. Your dollars are invested in education, health intervention, community building, and professional development. In 2006, Media Think has been involved in:

• Youth education focusing on K-12 schools and associated programs
• Parent education focusing on parents of children age zero to five.
• Partnerships with local healthcare organizations
• Violence prevention training for workers in the schools and Juvenile Justice system

Please give generously. Here are a few examples of what your donation can do.

• $30 pays for a person in need to attend our Crash Course – a four-hour introduction to media literacy – and learn critical thinking skills about media’s influence in our lives.

• $100 pays for NMLC to give a customized, one-hour media literacy workshop for a school or organization. This hands-on workshop targets specific audiences around issues of violence, health, self-esteem, relationships, the environment and consumerism.

• $500 pays for a trained presenter from Media Think to attend a professional development event and train the trainers. We have worked with the Department of Health and Human Services, educators, and healthcare professionals to give them skills and tools to help their clients become aware of media’s influence.
