- Draft legislation to advance media literacy (State of Oregon Education) approved by NMLC board Feb 22.
- Board approves statement opposing commercialism in Parks (Portland Parks and Recreation proposed naming rights for public spaces)

Past Events
Burning Issues: Media and Power in Fahrenheit 451Presentation and Discussion as part of the 2004 Everybody Reads program by the Multnomah County Library and the Library Association. This session was recorded by Multnomah Community Television.
As part of the presentation, the audience was asked the question, "WHAT DO WE DO ABOUT MEDIA?"
Here are the answers:
Personally
- Be an active observer. Observe!
